The CADWELD welding system provides a means to exothermically weld different metals together in a molecularly-bonded connection which is electrically sound, immune to thermal conditions and not subject to the corrosion issues associated with mechanical or compression materials. The welding process fuses metals with a current-carrying capacity equal to the grounding conductor, enabling lower resistivity and, therefore, a better earth-path for potential short-circuit strikes. Virtually any metal-metal exothermic bond is possible using an exhaustive array of mold-bodies, weld metals and weld-process starting equipment. The carbon-graphite mold-bodies are unique to each connection being performed and have a service life of up to fifty individual connections. A full range of accessories is available including handle clamps for securing the molds to the material, cleaning materials and preparation tools. Ideal for small projects, where the purchase of individual mold-bodies would not be economically feasible.

Find our most common mold styles here. Smart Part Numbering System Cadweld uses a smart part numbering system to give complete information about the mold at a glance. Our smart part numbering system and common mold selector makes it quick and easy to choose the best connection for your project.
Specialized Molds Do you have an application that is more specialized? Are you making a connection to an existing grounding grid where conductors may be corroded? Are you making just a few connections and want the convenience of a one-use disposable mold? Are you making a connection on a railway? Are you making a connection indoors, perhaps in a data center where no emissions are permitted? A unique electronic starting system makes this ideal for sensitive applications.
Are you making a connection from a cathodic protection anode lead to a pipe? They use a special welding material alloy to minimize heat effect on steel pipes. Are you making a high-voltage connection?
